LG has finally started rolling out the long-awaited Android 6.0 Marshmallow over-the-air upgrade to all unlocked variants of its former flagship smartphone, the G3, located in Poland. In addition to the latest build of the open-source operating system, the upgrade also transports several much-needed stability improvements aimed at improving the overall speed of the handset.
Providing the update process goes according to plan in Eastern Europe, the upgrade should be heading to regions in Western Europe, along with the United States, in January. Although, it may take a little while longer for American carriers to start pushing out the OTA as they have to adapt the code in order to ensure it works on their devices.
