A smartphone that lasts ten to fifteen days on a single charge – what magic is this you may ask? Claiming to utilize some intelligent power management functions, some lower-end lower-power demand hardware and a 10,000 mAh battery, OUKITEL says their new OUKITEL K10000 smartphone can last up to 15 days on a single charge.
The device uses a Mediatek MTK6735 processor running at 1.0GHz and is equipped with a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720 IPS HD display. Backing this up is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, an 8MP rear-facing camera and a front-facing 2MP camera. The OUKITEL K10000 is a dual-SIM device and supports 4G LTE service.
The highlight of the device though is the 10,000 mAh battery and related technology. Besides providing long battery life, the OUKITEL K10000 can be fully charged in only 3.5 hours using their “pump-express flash charging technology.” OUKITEL also included OTG function to be able to reverse charge other devices.
OUKITEL decided to go in a different route on design from most of the market, utilizing an angular philosophy. They also claim an 86% body-to-screen ratio so the device itself will not be too large despite the 5.5-inch screen. The K10000 runs Android 5.1 and has OUKITEL’s own interface layer added.
All of this is currently available in a device that is on sale for only $199.99. Do you think this sounds like a good deal for a backup device or is it just a really expensive power backup device?
