As Huawei starts to make a bigger push into the U.S. market, one of the devices that will now be available for U.S. consumers is the Huawei Honor Band Z1. The wearable is a fitness tracker that has been available in European and Asian markets since late 2015. Huawei will start selling the device through their new HiHonor.com web site later this month. Consumers will be able to use the Honor Band Z1 to track basic activities like step counts and sleep monitoring.

The Honor Band Z1 comes equipped with a 1-inch passive matrix OLED touchscreen running at a resolution of 128 x 128. This may seem small and not very capable, but compared to many fitness trackers on the market, this will be a step up. By going small, Huawei is also able to obtain close to four days use between charges even though the Honor Band Z1 only has a 70 mAh battery inside.

The device is constructed with a stainless steel case that is certified to IP68 levels, so users can continue to wear it while engaging in water-related activities like swimming or surfing, but not something like deep sea diving. Straps are constructed out of a thermoplastic polyurethane that is hypoallergenic and will come in a choice of black, white or cream colored.

Consumers looking to invest in a fitness tracker will like the price for the Honor Band Z1, which will retail for only $79.99.
