Some of you may have heard of the Saygus V2 and some of you will just be hearing about it for the first time. Basically, it’s going to have everything you could ever dream of inside and has taken forever to ship. There, now you are caught up.
The phone itself was said to feature a Snapdragon 801 processor, 5-inch 1080p display, Android 4.4.4, 3GB of RAM, and has two microSD card slots, yes two. The phone already comes with 64GB of internal storage and can have two 128GB microSD cards meaning it could have up to 320GB of storage! Insane for a phone, and even pretty high for some lightweight laptops.
However, all of that is just hopes and dreams right now as the phone hasn’t actually launched yet. They could say it comes with a rocket ship engine inside, but it doesn’t really matter if no one can buy it. Below is a chart of some things it can do compared to the current competitor phones.
It was originally out for pre-order a super long time ago, and I mean a super long time ago, it was supposed to be released back in the first quarter of 2015, but was delayed many times. Last we heard it was supposed to come out in May of 2015, but was told of a delay again. No new dates or real information was given ever since. Everyone assumed the phone was dead, but finally the company has spoke up on their plans.
They took to Twitter to share their problems with the world. There reason was they were busy, probably partying, during the holidays and will get to making the phone later. There are a bunch of other tweets too explaining the problems, but I’m sticking with hardcore partying.
The Holidays were busy and we apologize for the lack of updates! Our second ODM in 2015 was released for the vast difference in biz policy
The good news is they have announced a rough estimate as to when it will ship out. Sometime during February 2016 is the plan, but warned that Chinese New Year will slow shipping for everyone down. I’m gonna let everyone in on a little secret, it won’t happen. If you have ever ordered anything from Ebay during Chinese New Year, or really any Chinese holiday, do not expect to see your package for at least a month and a half. I’d say a more likely time frame is someday in the first quarter of 2016, but with these guys, who knows? However, the second part of their tweet also mentions the first quarter to be the safe bet. Good luck with that ship time Saygus, see you next year…
