Although Lenovo wasn’t in the spotlight today, they did give us a new smartphone called the Vibe K5 Plus.
The Vibe K5 Plus has a 5-inch display with a 1080p resolution. Powering the handset is a Snapdragon 616 SoC from Qualcomm and 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. On the back you’ll find a 13MP camera, and on the front side you’ll have a lower-resolution 5MP camera. 16GB of internal storage is onboard that can be expanded using the built-in microSD card slot. The handset also sports a 2,750mAh battery capacity that will try to withstand your day.
The Vibe K5 Plus comes with a variety of sensors including LTE connectivity, dual-SIM capability, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. One of the most standout features is the Vibe K5 Plus’s boosted audio system, which consists of two rear-facing speakers with Dolby Atmos technology. This will provide a rich audio experience. Lastly, and disappointingly, the Vike K5 Plus runs Android 5.1. However, Android 6.0 might come in the future with a software update.
Pricing will run you $149 off-contract when it hits the market in March. Let’s hope it makes it to the United States.
