A partnership between Conexant and LG means that the group’s voice processor will power LG’s next-generation tvG Woofer Set Top Box and IoT Hub.
Conexant’s own voice input processor, the CX2092x, has been adopted by LG’s two new smart home products, allowing users to control the gadgets with their own voice.
The chip maker has promised its tech will ensure users have a much fast way of searching content with just a few spoken words.
LG’s IoT Hub offers up control of home security systems, lighting, heating and cooling machines and more. Conexant’s newly-adopted technology helps to eliminate background noise in real-world environments, ready to pick up on speech commands at any time.
Speaking about his company’s relationship with Conexant, LG Uplus’ Geon Yeong Lee said:

The handy CX2092x chip boasts an excellent speech recognition hit rate according to its makers, also proving compatible with multiple leading speech recognition vendors.
