With less than 72 hours until Samsung’s MWC 2016 event, Evan Blass is sharing a press render of the upcoming Galaxy S7 in silver.
The image shared two hours ago by Blass shows the front of Samsung’s next flagship, which should include features that give more consumers reasons to head to the world’s premier maker of Android devices. Notice the Galaxy S7 is being shown here in silver. The Galaxy S7 Edge was shown in silver last week before Blass showed the handset in black and gold varieties; therefore, it’s probably safe to say the Galaxy S7’s color options will also include black and gold. The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge lacked a both true black and silver options because Samsung went with a blue-tinted black and a plain with them last year.
What about specifications for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge? Samsung will allegedly be implementing Super AMOLED displays measuring 5.1 and 5.5 inches, respectively, on the outside while the inside has either Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 or Samsung’s own Exynos 8890. The rear camera, which should have an Apple Live Photos-like feature, is said to be 12MP. The drop in megapixels might worry some, but it represents a switch to a different sensor to execute better photos is all types of lighting.
Samsung’s MWC 2016 event will be held this Sunday, February 21, at 10:30AM ET. If you’re interested in getting the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge, pre-ordering is expected to start the very same day the handsets launch. The Gear 360, a 360-degree camera, should be at the launch event as well.
