Although flagship devices will grab the headlines at MWC 2016, look for smartphone manufacturers to announce a variety of devices covering the spectrum of the smartphone market. One device that looks like it will be getting some coverage is the Lenovo Lemon 3. The reason for the attention is the expected announcement that the handset will be released in additional global markets instead of being limited to the Chinese market which was the original plan when the Lenovo Lemon 3 was announced earlier this year.
The Lenovo Lemon 3 is a mid-range phone that comes with a 5-inch full HD display, a Snapdragon 616 processor, 2GB or RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Lenovo also packed in a 13MP rear-facing camera and Dolby sound technology. The Lemon 3 is quite capable as far as a mid-range phone goes, but what is really attractive about the unit is the price which comes in at a mere $105 USD.
The Lenovo India Twitter account has started posting some teasers for a smartphone that appears to be the Lemon 3 indicating it is “coming soon” at MWC 2016. This suggests Lenovo is expanding market availability beyond China to at least India. Expansion to other markets remains to be seen along with pricing, although Lenovo’s social media runners are responding to tweets indicating many details will be revealed at MWC 2016.
