The Moto G (2015) has begun receiving Android Marshmallow in Europe, some users are reporting.
The handset originally began receiving the update in the US, Canada, and eventually India. However, the EU update is slightly newer, bringing the software version to 24.41.33.en.EU while the US and India variant has 24.11.25.en.US.
Android 6.0 brings a lot of neat features to the table, such as Doze, Google Now On Tap, App Permissions, and much more. On the design side of things, there’s been some slight and subtle changes to make animations transition smoother.
There currently isn’t any official word on how the EU update differs from that of the US or India version. However, it’s no doubt mostly some performance and bug fixes, as there’s probably not any major differences.
Either way, if you haven’t gotten the update yet, be on the look out for an OTA. It should be hitting your device soon, and as usual, you can check it for manually in Settings > About Phone.
