Telegram helping connect the masses based on latest milestones

A relative newcomer to the messaging platform market launching only a couple years ago, Telegram is making some big inroads into the market as it tries to build up a critical mass of users. Today the Telegram developers announced they had achieved some impressive milestones on the path to becoming the messaging app of choice for users around the globe.

The first achievement noted by the team is the fact that they now have 100,000,000 monthly active users. We are not sure how often a user has to make use of the app to be considered active, but that is still an impressive number and we are guessing those users are actually making use of the app. Telegram also announced they are signing up 350,000 new users every day on average, a number that is likely to grow as Telegram’s popularity continues to snowball.

Going back to the activity level of their users, Telegram announced today that their service is now delivering 15 Billion messages every day. Yes, that is a Billion with a “B”. That is an average of 150 messages per user per day.

Clearly Telegram has managed to identify and connect with users searching for a solution to their messaging needs. That is no small feat given the number of platforms available.
