Meizu’s Pro 6 flagship to have 6GB of RAM, Exynos 8890 processor

A new leak suggests that Meizu’s highly rumored Pro 6 flagship could feature a whopping 6GB of RAM and release during August of this year.

This report out of China suggests that the Pro 6 will be the successor to last year’s Exynos-based flagship smartphone, the Pro 5. Only this time, the Pro 6 will come in two different models, with memory size being the differentiating factor.

Supposedly the memory configurations will be 128GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM, with the lower-end model being 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM. Unfortunately, it seems like Meizu isn’t doing any improvements with the display this time around, opting to stick with the standard 1080p option, though it was mentioned that it could sport a 3D Touch screen.

Beyond that, we could expect the Pro 6 to sport a Exynos 8890 processor, the CPU found in many of this year’s Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge handsets. Aside from that, we can expect a bevy of other features that are becoming the standard, such as fast charging, Hi-Fi 3.0, and so on. Also expect to see Meizu’s MBack 3.0 software as well as the new FlyMe 6.0 OS on this smartphone.

Again, there’s no official announcement on the Pro 6, but it might not be too far out at this point. Meizu announced the Pro 5 in May last year, and they could follow the same timeline for the Pro 6.
