We’re expecting the Galaxy A9 Pro any day now. The handset has already leaked in several benchmarks, and just last week passed through the Chinese Regulatory, TENAA. Now the handset has been approval by the FCC, thus indicating a possible launch here in the U.S.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro will be a new addition to the already existing Galaxy A-series, which is currently made up of the Galaxy A9, Galaxy A7, and Galaxy A5. The unannounced handset will have model number SM-A9100 and will be the largest and most high-end of the series. Based on leaks, it will have a 6-inch Full HD AMOLED display and run the Snapdragon 652 SoC from Qualcomm. We’re also expecting a whopping 4GB of RAM to onboard, which should provide some nice multi-tasking.

As for the cameras, the Galaxy A9 should include a 16MP rear-facing camera and a lower-quality 8MP front-facing camera for video chats and selfies. Google’s very latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will be included right out of the box. On the storage side of things, you’ll get 32GB of internal space, which can be expanded via a microSD card. The Galaxy A9 Pro should come in multiple colors. We’ll let you know when all becomes official.
