Tidal dispute over streaming data results in the firing of the company’s CFO and COO

tidal_header

Things have been out of order at Tidal for quite some time now. Based on a new report, the streaming service fired both CFO Chris Hart and COO Nils Juell after a dispute over streaming data.

After refusing to reveal the company’s total streaming numbers, both executives were fired. These were the successors to last year’s executives who previously held the position only before they got fired. As of now, this is all the information we have from Tidal, as the company wouldn’t go any further into detail.

Tidal is planning to move its operations to a new location based in New York City very shortly. There’s also a rumor going around that Samsung and Google are showing interest in buying-out the streaming service. Among other plans, Tidal is looking to bounce back after its rapid decline of new albums and limited growth from exclusives. With all that’s been happening to Tidal, from the firings to the lack of growth, it has got us quite worried about the streaming service. It’ll be interesting to see what Tidal has up its sleeve to get back on track, because it doesn’t sound like things are going very well.
