Samsung Galaxy Note 5 owners on Verizon’s network has begun receiving the update to Android 6.0.
If you’re not familiar with the things Marshmallow brings, users will be elated to see things like Google Now On Tap, App Permissions, WiFi Calling, Google’s battery-saving Doze features, and much more.
Verizon also mentioned that this update brings with it the latest security updates. We’re not 100% sure what this means, but the Galaxy Note 5 on Verizon’s network could have all of the monthly security updates up to February, though up to March is also quite possible.
Interestingly, Verizon seems to have beat other carriers to this download, as AT&T only has Marshmallow in beta for the Galaxy Note 5.
As per the norm, users can wait for a download prompt or can check for it manually by going into Settings > About Phone > Software Updates.
