Instagram has redesigned its Explore feature and it now includes a channel for videos.
Instagram attributes the change to the fact that more people than ever are uploading videos and claims the channels will make it easier to find videos you enjoy. You’ll now see a channel called “Videos You Might Like,” which aggregates videos from across the Instagram world. And as you make your way through the Explore grid, you’ll see featured videos on various topics.
Instagram says the Explore feature still works as it always has. The more videos you like or the more to which you say “See Fewer Posts Like This,” the more Explore will be able to tailor the content to your individual taste.
The updated version of Instagram that incorporates these changes is available in the United States beginning today. Instagram says it is working to get it to the rest of the world, but doesn’t give a timeline.
