Nextbit has a bunch of exciting announcements for those that own a Robin or are looking at buying a Robin in the future.
The first of the few updates is that Android 6.0.1 is now on its way to the Robin. This upgrade to Marshmallow includes the April security patch as well as a slew of new emoji. Some other things included is better processor performance to increase battery life, a completely overhauled Camera app, and a new sound tuning driver by Arkamys.
In celebration of the new audio performance in this new update, Robin is announcing a new partnership with sound professionals AIAIAI. Here’s the official word from Nextbit:
“We’ve specced out a custom set of TMA-2 headphones especially for Robin and they go on sale today. AIAIAI are kindred spirits, they offer great design and performance at a great price. If you’re interested in a new pair of these headphones, you can pick them up today for $225 from Nextbit’s official online store. Beyond headphones, AIAIAI and Nextbit are collaborating and making a ringtone series with selected musical artists. You can download some of the new ringtones from the Community Blog.
And now for the last of the exciting announcements: the Robin just got a whole lot easier to buy. No longer is it exclusively available from Nextbit, but now interesting customers can purchase the handset from Amazon. The Amazon listing features the same low price, and even comes with free Prime shipping.
