Among the best ways to keep your phone secure is with a fingerprint. Phones like the LG G5 come with a fingerprint scanner that allows you and only you to get into the phone. The little fingerprint scanner (that doubles as the power button) is a small pad where your finger would normally rest anyway, so it takes little effort to use.
Let’s get the fingerprint scanner setup on your phone.
- Go to Settings and find Fingerprints & security in the General menu
- Select Fingerprints and you’ll be prompted on how the process works
- Follow the instructions and place your finger on the fingerprint scanner on the rear of the phone
- Repeatedly lift your finger and place it back on the fingerprint scanner to provide different angles for easier authentication
