Google Now gets nine new voice actions in latest update

Google_Now_New_Voice_Commands_NPR_FullGoogle is always seeking ways to make Google Now better with each and every update. The newest update brings nine new voice controls to Android users.

The update is only available on Android as of now, with iOS to come later. In the update, nine new voice actions make their way to Google Now and there’s nothing you need to do to activate them. Just say “Ok Google” and then the command. Some of the new actions include turning on Bluetooth, turning on Wi-Fi, opening up the camera and even turning on the flashlight if your device has one. These can all be controlled even when you’re without a cellular connection.

Google also added the capability to read out your latest text messages and newest notifications from popular social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and more. Other controls include playing music in your library, opening up a webpage, making a phone call, sending a quick text, or setting an alarm. Google also makes it possible to search for settings, which will then open up the setting page in which you want to alter. This can be done with things like data usage and screen brightness.

The update should be applied to your Google Search app rather shortly if it has not already.
