Ford is bringing Android Auto to vehicles equipped with Sync 3

AndroidAuto_8133_HRFord has announced they’ll be rolling out Android Auto to all of their vehicles that are currently equipped with Sync 3, offering a significantly more integrated experience with your smartphone and car. The first vehicles to support this will be the 2017 models starting with the Ford Escape, but many 2016 owners will have the option to upgrade the software in their vehicle to take advantage of this.

The automaker is also supporting AppLink apps, which includes things like AAA service apps and Eventseeker, but they’ll jump on board the connected vehicle bandwagon and begin building 4G LTE into some of their models.

Details are scarce, but Ford will clear some things up in a few days at CES.
