If you don’t own one of the newest handsets, waiting for the latest version of Android to hit your device can be pretty frustrating to say the least. It would appear that the wait is over for one lucky owner of a Verizon LG G3 (LGVS985W) though, with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update reaching his device via OTA.
According to Reddit user, Jrdnram_98, the Marshmallow update hit his Verizon branded LG G3 around 6 PM Central time. The firmware update carries build number MRA58K, bringing the software version up to VS98546A, and includes Google’s security patch for January. For the time being, at least, it seems that the Marshmallow update is still pretty scarce, with only Jrdnram_98 having received it.
If you have a Verizon branded LG G3, it might be worth your time just navigating along to Settings/About Phone and tapping the Software Update button to see if the update is available for your device yet. If not, I’m sure there’s no need to panic, most updates experience a staggered rollout.
