Google Express has been around for three years now and I never knew about it. They have barely expanded in that time, but now will be delivering perishable groceries to parts of San Francisco and Los Angeles.
If you are like me, and have never heard of Google Express, you buy items from select online stores and they deliver them to you. They work with large retailers such as Costco, Smart & Final, and Whole Foods, and will continue to work with them on perishable grocery delivery.
However, there are a few other companies already delivering groceries such as Instacart and Amazon’s Prime Now. Google will have a tough battle ahead, but luckily has tons of money to spend to get it right. Deliveries start at $2.99 for members and $4.99 for non-members.
