Google took to its official Developer portal earlier today to publish the factory images for its February security update for the Nexus 5, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 6P, Nexus 7, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player. The upgrade transports a patch for the extremely frustrating bug which drops calls when certain applications are opened in the multitasking view, in addition to a plethora of stability improvements and speed optimizations.
Seeing as this upgrade isn’t a major firmware release, the build number will remain at 6.0.1. However, the version number has faced a slight adjustment. Depending on the device you own, you will need to install either MMB29Q, MMB29U or MMB29R. Google explains exactly which particular software version is for which handset over on the Developer update page — so don’t worry about installing the wrong one.
Hit the source link below to download the factory images from the official Google Developer Blog for manual flashing. Alternatively, you can wait for the OTA to start rolling out, which should start soon.
