Pictures of the HTC A16 have been shared by famous Android leakster Evan Blass over on Twitter, and the gadget shown could be making an appearance at MWC.
Posting today, Blass revealed images of HTC’s unique-looking smartphone in a variety of difference colors. He said: “Tomorrow’s news, yesterday: HTC A16”.
The pictures we’re looking at show an unusual back cover design for the HTC A16, which is decorated with a series of colored dots that resemble a paint splatter pattern. The smartphone looks to feature a front-facing camera accompanied by dual speakers, but at the time of writing details on internals haven’t surfaced.
On the back of the HTC A16 is another camera and an LED flash, and we’re expecting that the mobile will be rocking a shiny build of Android 6.0 Marshmallow when it arrives.
In terms of a potential release date, the clock displayed on the leaked images hints at a March release, although whether or not this is an accurate estimate remains to be seen,
HTC’s A16 certainly looks rather eye-catching with its unusual body decoration, although as the gallery shows there will be some variants of the smartphone with plain backs.
Earlier this week, we reported on news that all HTC smartphones released this year will come with password manager app Keeper Security pre-installed. The move will enable owners to safety store login information and access that information only after passing a series of app security checks.
If the HTC A16 is indeed being shown off at MWC, there’s not much of a wait left.
