Twitter has announced a series of changes to the website’s homepage that means users can effectively catch up on news they may have missed.

Speaking about the adjustments to the social network, a Twitter blog post shared today explains that over 500 million people visit the website each month. As a result of the website’s continued growth and popularity, the homepage is getting tweaked.

Twitter’s developers plan on rolling out an improved home timeline to people across 23 countries who take a look at the website on their mobile devices.

Discussing the revamp, Twitter’s blog explains:

“Before today, you could see individual Tweets but it was hard to discover stories and conversations happening on Twitter without signing in. Now, you can check out a news story as it unfolds, dive into the play-by-play discussions around a game, and then come back again to see that exchange between two rappers everyone’s been talking about.”

“It’s real-time and straight from the source, just like the Twitter experience for those who log in.”

That’s not all, either. Starting from today, it’s possible for anybody to explore and discover various topics and stories as they happen in real time, including some ‘tailored just for you’ based on location and Twitter activity.
