Yesterday we learned that 6GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 820 SoC would be among the internals on the Vivo Xplay 5. Today, the device underwent a benchmark on mobile-benchmarking site AnTuTu.
The Vivo Xplay 5 posted an incredible benchmark score of 162,610, making it one of the highest-scoring Android devices out there. It seems that Vivo is putting high emphasis on performance with this device and the teaser from yesterday confirms it.
Additionally, we received some leaked renders of the device, and boy do they look nice. Both renders show a slim design with curved sides and slopes going downward at the top and bottom of the device. The Vivo Xplay 5 will have three software keys for control, which include the standard back and home buttons, and a menu key which is in replace of the recent apps key found on stock-Android devices. The device appears to be made of metal, although since only the front is visible, we can’t be absolutely sure.
One thing’s for sure, the Vivo Xplay 5 will face competitors in the high-end Android space when it launches. The official release is scheduled for March 1st, which is just one week from now. We can’t wait to see it!
