With the excitement ramping up for the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie, Amazon Echo owners are in for a treat thanks to Amazon’s collaboration with Warner Bros. and DC Comics. The result of the partnership is a voice-powered choose-your-own-adventure game called The Wayne Investigation.
According to Variety, the voice-powered game delves into the murder of Bruce Wayne’s parents and allows the player to question several characters about the crime. The game is available within the Skills section of the Alexa app, and can be opened by saying the following phrase – “Alexa, open The Wayne Investigation“. The player is then able to make up to 37 decisions that will decide both where the game goes and its duration, which can be anything from 5 to 40 minutes.
The team behind The Wayne Investigation included writers from DC Comics as well as Cruel & Unusual Films, Zack Snyder’s production company, and made use of Amazon’s Alexa Skills Kit.
“We’re thrilled to work with Warner Brothers and DC Comics to bring “The Wayne Investigation” to our Alexa-enabled devices,” said said Rob Pulciani, Director of Alexa. “This is the first Alexa skill to use a combination of produced audio assets and Alexa technology.”
