April 1st is also known as April Fools’ day and it’s on the horizon. Lately, tech manufacturers have joined in on the fun by posting pranks and fake products. Google is a week early, as the company appears to have posted one of its pranks already.
Google has always been one of the best when it comes to April Fools’ day pranks. This time around, Google is taking it to Android developers. When logging into the developer console and navigating to the ‘reviews’ section, there’s a post by a man named Alex Scott. Scott apparently wrote the review on a device called the ‘Nexus Space’ or Nexus 16 device. The made-up device comes with 130GB of RAM onboard and a 3000 x 2000 screen size. That’s obviously the joke here because no device has that much RAM, and we’re far from the Nexus 16.
Scott’s exact post read:
Best app in Space! I love using AC News & Forums for Android™ in space, however, I wish it had better support for Space Design when in zero-g and will definitely give 6 planets when it does!
If the ‘learn more’ button was clicked, you’d be redirected to a Google search of ‘April Fools’ Day.’ This pretty much confirms that it was meant to be an early April Fools’ day joke. The post has been taken down now, but we have an image grab of it thanks to Android Central.
