The Galaxy A9 Pro may have just landed at its last stop before an official release. The SM-A9100, or A9 Pro, just obtained its certification from the chinese regulatory TENAA.

The Galaxy A9 Pro will be a new addition to Samsung’s Galaxy A-series that’s currently made up of the Galaxy A9, Galaxy A7, and Galaxy A5. The device has surfaced in numerous benchmarks, but this is the first time we’re getting a look at the phone’s body.

The Galaxy A9 appears to be a larger-scaled Galaxy A9. The design language is all but different. The standard Samsung logo is at the top of the front side with a rounded home button on the bottom. On the sides you’ll get a SIM card tray along with power and volume controls. You’ll also get a built-in microSD card slot for expandable storage. The Galaxy A9 is expected to come with a microUSB port for charging.

Looking at the spec sheet, the Galaxy A9 sounds like an upper mid-range device. We’re getting a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full HD resolution, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, and a whopping 4GB of RAM. This matches the amount of RAM on Samsung’s latest and greatest Galaxy S7. A 16MP rear-facing camera will be onboard, as well as a lower-quality 8MP front-facing camera. The Galaxy A9 will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow straight out of the box and house 32GB of internal memory.

The device should be unraveled in China shortly. Hopefully it’ll make it to some other regions as well. We’ll keep you posted.
