The latest update to gig-browsing mobile app Jukely adds a rewards system that sees members earn points and ‘level up’ when checking into events.

For those out of the loop, Jukely for Android is a companion app for music fanatics, designed from the ground up to allow users to browse upcoming concerts and festivals. Of the events listed on Jukely, a selection are Jukely Members Only shows, which adds to the experience.

Each member level arriving as a part of Jukely’s new update offers unique cards to owners containing original artwork, meaning users can begin building their own card collections and timelines.

Speaking about the new mobile features, Tess Russell, Jukely’s Head of Product, said:

“We already have power users — people who go out all the time and love discovering new music they’ve never heard before. The levels are a fun way to recognize that in our product and maybe even inspire a bit of friendly competition between members.”

The exact factors determining how quickly a user levels up remain a mystery, although Jukely’s makers have said that folk that get “adventurous” with gigs at new venues will rank up fast. In total, there’s five different levels that members can attain.

Jukely’s monthly fee remains at $25, which gives buyers access to music festivals every night of the week. A basic Jukely membership offers access to shows happening in a three day window, whilst an upgraded account means it’s possible to bring along some friends and reserve spots.

JUKELY LAUNCHES LEVELS FEATURE, REWARDS MEMBERS FOR ATTENDANCE

NEW YORK, NY – Jukely, the highly popular concert membership service, today announces the addition of a new feature to the platform that ranks its members according to how frequently they use the app and what type of shows they attend. Every time members check in to a show, they’ll earn experience points and, ultimately, unlock new “levels.”

Each level comes with a unique card containing original artwork that members can view and show off to their friends. Jukely will also be rolling out special cards for their warehouse shows and other surprise cards, so members can collect and begin building out their own unique timeline.

“We already have power users — people who go out all the time and love discovering new music they’ve never heard before,” said Tess Russell, Jukely’s Head of Product. “The levels are a fun way to recognize that in our product and maybe even inspire a bit of friendly competition between members.”

Jukely wants to keep some mystery around how the point values are determined for a particular show, but did reveal that being “adventurous” — trying new genres and venues — could help members earn more points, faster. Recent activity is also weighed most heavily, so members will need to keep going to shows in order to maintain a certain level once it’s reached. In total, there are five different levels members can attain, with only 2% of all members reaching Level 5.

“Our hope is that members can flip through their cards and remember all the fun times and new music they’ve discovered with Jukely,” said Russell.

Live across 15 cities in the United States, as well as in London and Toronto, new shows are released at 11am in members’ respective time zones and can be claimed before 5pm on the day of the show. The basic membership tier provides individual access to shows happening in a three day window with options to upgrade membership to bring a friend and claim spots even further in advance.

To get the full levels experience, members will need the updated Jukely app (the latest iOS version is out in the App Store today, and the next Android version will be released by the end of the month).
