The HTC 10 Lifestyle comes to India with a Snapdragon 652 processor and 3GB RAM

You may have read something about the HTC 10 being announced yesterday, but the Taiwanese handset maker also launched another, albeit very similar handset as well, called the HTC 10 Lifestyle. It’s aimed at the Indian market, and while it shares many of the same components as the HTC 10 that is available in the west, the HTC 10 Lifestyle differs in some important areas.

The HTC 10 Lifestyle carries the same chamfered metal body, the very same 12MP UltraPixel rear camera, and exactly the same 5.2-inch Quad HD display. Where it differs from the standard HTC 10 is that instead of using a Snapdragon 820 processor, it is powered by a Snapdragon 652. And instead of having 4GB of RAM, it only has 3GB. The fully specced USB 3.1 Type-C port seen on the HTC 10 has also been changed to a USB Type-C port that only supports USB 2.0.

No one is ever happy about flagships being de-tuned for different markets, especially if you happen to live in one of the affected regions. Hopefully, the changes mean that the HTC 10 Lifestyle will be more affordable in India and thus achieve strong sales. Time will tell, as yet there are no pricing details available for the HTC 10 Lifestyle.

If you reside in India, how much do you think the HTC 10 Lifestyle should sell for?
