Using the always-on display on the LG G5

Like Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, the LG G5 comes with an always-on display. This phone’s approach to the always-on display is much more useful because it displays icons for the apps that are pushing notifications to you. Rather than just seeing the date and time, LG wants G5 owners to get deeper information. It’s not quite like Motorola’s Moto Display on the Moto X Pure Edition, but it’s a step above Samsung’s boring always-on display.

  2. Scroll until you see Always-on display
  3. Choose what you want the always-on display to show
  4. Turn off your phone’s display and watch it dimly stay on
