Though it’s rolling out slowly, it looks like Google Keyboard 5.0 will be a pretty massive update from previous versions.
Google’s newest version has a lot of cool new features. Some standouts: one-handed mode(!!!), adjustable keyboard height and the option to show key borders.
To use one-handed mode, you can do a couple things. You can go through the keyboard’s settings menu or you can do a long press of the comma.
Google has also updated gesture typing for Google Keyboard 5. The dynamic floating preview feature has been removed. Instead, dynamic suggestions appear in the suggestion bar instead of floating beside your finger. Deleting words is also easier. Swipe left from the delete key and highlight the word(s) you want to delete. Let go and poof! It’s/they’re gone.
