Google CEO Sundar Pichai, who used to be the company’s head of Android and Chrome, announced on Twitter that Google I/O 2016 would run May 18-20. And the conference will be breaking free from San Francisco’s Moscone Center as Pichai noted Google will be going to the “neighborhood where it all started.” Google I/O 2016 will be held at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, the same city where Google is based. Interestingly, the Shoreline Amphitheater is actually an outdoor venue; therefore, it’ll be interesting to see how Google plans everything included with the conference. The Moscone Center in San Francisco worked so well because it was indoors and had so much space. The Shoreline Amphitheater might expose Google to unkind weather that jeopardizes all the fancy technology featured.
