If you’re based in the United Kingdom and own either a Honor 4X, 6 or 6+, we have some rather exciting news we think you may like to hear. Honor, a subsidiary of Huawei, has today opened registrations for its Marshmallow beta for the aforementioned handsets, which means you could apply be one of a small group of people testing the firmware as it progresses through its development stages.
As this is a beta, the software will not be entirely stable. For this reason, we don’t recommend that you sign up to test the update on your primary smartphone as it may render some aspects you rely on, such as messaging, totally useless. There’s also the risk that the firmware may run extended processes in the background using a large amount of resources, which’ll take a huge toll on battery life.
If you’d still like to try and get your hands on the pre-release software, hit the source link below to register to become a beta tester. You will need to have your IMEI and current Build Number to hand, though, as Honor needs this information to see if the upgrade is compatible for your device at this time.
