Google revealed today that it has brought two new features to the Gmail app for Android.
The first feature is rich text formatting. Most of you are fairly familiar with this particular feature if you’ve used Gmail on the web. With this new update, users are now able to bold, underline, italicize, color, and highlight text within an email on Android.
The second feature is Instant RSVPs. For those that use Google Calendar or Microsoft Exchange, there’s now a one-tap option within Gmail that will let you instantly record your response to an invitation. It’s quite neat, as you no longer have to go through a lengthy process to ensure you’re signed up for an event.
Both of these features are nothing groundbreaking; however, Google’s goal is to make Gmail for Android a truly “amazing mobile experience.” The world uses mobile more than ever, and Google wants to make sure its products are nothing but seamless, easy to access, and helpful to the user.
