It was only last month that Nintendo announced it would be releasing its first smartphone app, called Miitomo, in March, with pre-registration to begin sometime in February. If you’ve waited patiently to sign up to the Miitomo app, today is your lucky day.
Instead of being a gaming app, Miitomo is rather a messaging platform for gamers that allows them to communicate with each other. Think of it as an interactive chatroom with Mii avatars, if you will. The Miitomo app will be available for both iOS and Android devices.
Pre-registering will allow Nintendo to let notify users when the Miitomo app becomes available to download. As an added perk, there are Platinum Points on offer as part of the My Nintendo rewards program. Platinum Points are in-app coins that can be exchanged for new outfits and accessories for users’ Mii avatar characters. According to the blurb, the Platinum Points will expire after six months.
Pre-registering is fairly simple, just click the source link below, and you will be asked to sign in with either your Nintendo account, or your Google+, Facebook, or Twitter account.
