Oppo’s sleek A30 smartphone has been spotted on the group’s website, listed with a 5-inch full HD display, 3GB of RAM and a 2,525 mAh battery.

In terms of its design, the Oppo A30 is almost identical to OnePlus’ own Champagne Edition of the OnePlus X, which seems to flaunt a very similar shape.

Although information on pricing and availability is yet to be added to the Oppo A30 product page, there’s plenty to discuss about the phone’s internals.

The gadget is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8974 SoC, which could either refer to the Snapdragon 800 or Snapdragon 801. The team over at NDTV note that a Snapdragon 801 is more likely, especially considering the same component was featured in the OnePlus X on launch.

Other features of the Oppo A30 smartphone include 4G LTE connectivity, support for LTE bands in India and 16GB of internal storage. The gadget is said to run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and features a 13 megapixel rear camera. The front-facing shooter is an 8 megapixel offering.

Specs-wise, the smartphone looks very solid, but we’ll have to wait and see how much cash it’ll take to pick one up.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the A30 as more news comes out of the Oppo camp.
