Early in the day yesterday, Sprint surprised us with Android 6.0.1 updates on both the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note 5. Later in the day, Sprint added the Galaxy S6 Edge+ to the mix.
If you’re a Sprint Galaxy S6 Edge+ owner and this is your first time hearing this, it’s your lucky day! Sprint has begun pushing the very latest Android 6.0.1 software to your device. The update will bring all of the latest features from both Samsung and Google including doze mode for battery saving, Now On Tap for contextual awareness, and simplified app permissions to keep you in control of your data. Therefore, it’ll come at the cost of a large size. This means that fully downloading and installing the software will take some time.
Prior to starting, we recommend connecting to a nearby Wi-Fi network to avoid data charges. We also suggest charging your battery to 75% or more to ensure that there are no disruptions midway through. The new version is G928PVPU2BPC3 and it’s rolling out in waves. So if you haven’t received the notification yet, just hang in there. It’ll get to you shortly.
