The hits just keep on coming, with Sony announcing its new X-series of smartphones that will launch globally sometime in the summer, slotting in just beneath the Z-series. Sony unveiled the Xperia XA, Xperia X, and the Xperia X Performance earlier today, with all three handsets sporting 5-inch displays. Join us after the break for the rundown and specifications.
Each model will use Sony’s latest smart battery management system while also sporting Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology that manages the heat generated by charging with the aim of prolonging the lifespan of the battery. Sony is claiming all X-series models will have 2-day battery life.
All three models will be available in white, black, rose gold and lime gold.

The Xperia X range of smartphones is remarkably consistent design-wise, with the X and X Performance models offering very similar specifications, other than the use of different processors. One positive is that Sony has confirmed the X-series will be available in the U.S. whether it’s via the carriers or through Sony’s online store.
