Xiaomi is slated to release their next flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 5, next week on February 24th. There have not been a lot of rumors about the specs for the device, although some GFXBench numbers surfaced a couple weeks ago that actually muddied the waters. A new image that alleges to list several specs for the phone has surfaced that may point to what Xaiomi fans can expect next week during the reveal.
According to the latest image, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be equipped with a 5.15-inch full 1080p HD display. This screen will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor that will be running at 2.15GHz, although the amount of RAM matched to the processor is still unknown.
Xaiomi has equipped the device with a 16MP camera that incorporates both optical image stabilization and laser focus features. The Xaiomi Mi 5 will also be getting a USB Type-C connector and support for NFC. The image also appears to indicate Xiaomi included a fingerprint sensor in the device.
Recently Xiaomi has started the process of reducing prices on existing smartphones in anticipation of the release of their new flagship. Sources think Xiaomi may be aiming for a price point of approximately $300 for the Mi 5, which would be consistent with their previous flagships.
